You may find that although you hurt before you start exercising, once you're moving you feel better. Some of your pain comes from the lack of activity. The longer you sit, the more you hurt.

Keep moving anything you do helps I don’t sit down, turn off tv or computers/phones. exercise online or in person try yoga tai chi meditation helps with off time and anxiety or just doing things around the house. I can stay home all day and always have something to do. Driving has become more difficult it’s the sitting! Give yourself a daily task write it down it might take me several days but finish. I take a nap usually midday are my worst so this helps me stay up all day vs ignoring my fatigue it’s ok to sleep. I have learned keeping a day schedule of getting up in the morning and not sleeping all day being up all night because of insomnia.. This is a daily challenge believe me! Good night sleep is essential I can say that now it makes a world of difference. One day at a time.

Staying motivated is hard. Find different kinds of exercises and work with a partner.

I have arthritis in my back and hips due to a stupid accident in 1999. As a result, have been unable to walk more than a block before the pain begins. I discovered a low-impact exercise using an "Ellipse" machine by LegXercise. It is power-assisted and allows me to work my legs to the equivalent 10,000 steps with each use. My legs are toning up. Best of luck!

I do as AI suggests 'listen to my body, rest when needed and celebrate small victories. I listened to my body in 2000 and exercised regularly at my local gym. After a few months I decided I needed to rest which is what I'm currently doing 25 years later!
Whether I will live long enough to see the small victories remains to be seen.

Warning Don't try this at home 🙄
