I read that concussions can be a big contributer to developing PD. I am quite concerned about my son. He had a LOT of concussions as a teenager. To the extent that the doctor threatened not to treat another concussion!!
I worry that this, in combination with the genetic contribution to PD, increases his chances of developing the disease will be disproportionate to the normal incidence of the disease.

John, God doesn't want us to have this kind of relationships with our children 😢. We should give out children and our relationship with them unreservedly over to Him. Easier said than done!!! I give the relationship over. Then I take it back to worry about it. Or to agonize over it. Or even contemplating how to fix it. This is what causes the hurt. Fortunately I still have hope, the relationship isn't unrestorable. If I just leave it in God's hands!!!!
I am thankful with you that the drug situation worked out okay. Our children keep on keeping us praying. Fortunately now that the Littlest Beloved is a parent, the risk taking behavior stopped. Unfortunately he thinks he's my parent too!
John you hit the nail on the head. "Just shook them of and kept going" At that stage in your life you probably have never heard of PD and couldn't imagine or didn't believe it would one day catch up with you. The follies of our youth...
