I was diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment 4 years ago. It started with short term memory, short attention span and word searching. It has barely progressed. My Geriatric Neurologist prescribed 2 medications which have improved my cognition! I still have short term memory issues such as having to write down the details of a phone call.
I keep a calendar on my desk. The alarm on my phone is set to my med schedule.
It is frustrating and scary but hopefully doesn't progress.

Doctors typically recommend regular neuropsychiatric evaluations to monitor if cognitive symptoms are worsening. Treatment options include medications and brain-stimulating activities, such as memory games through recommended apps. Your doctor can suggest specific games and activities tailored to your needs.

To help manage cognitive changes, many people find success using dictionary apps, working with supportive partners who help fill in word gaps, and being open with others about their memory challenges.

It’s very sad, you loose so much with PD cognitive decline is so scary . For me the decline is in warp speed. I was Once the go to person and now takes me forever to process simple task. I isolate most of the time. The slow processing /speaking very embarrassing.
