First, please accept condolences for the loss of your husband. It's understandable to feel discouraged, but returning to exercise after a long break, especially with Parkinson's disease, requires patience and gradual progression.

The challenges you're experiencing with exercise progression can be normal with Parkinson's disease. The key is to work with exercises specifically tailored to your current abilities and type of Parkinson's symptoms. Consider working with a specialized exercise program designed for people with Parkinson's disease. These programs can help create a personalized approach that accounts for your specific symptoms and challenges while helping you build strength safely.

For safety, always consult with your healthcare provider before increasing exercise intensity. If you experience any dizziness, discomfort, or unusual fatigue during exercise, stop and seek medical guidance.
