I felt like my dosage of Sinemet wasn’t helping any, so my neurologist told me to play with my dosage. I had worked up to taking 5 a day (with the intent to take 6 a day), and I am down to 2 a day. I actually feel better!

I have been adjusting my dose down because of nausea, headaches, and low blood pressure. I feel better but I'm having more issues with dystonia. It's a balancing act.

I was experiencing a lot of dizziness with taking so much. Since I don’t have tremors, that is not an issue.

Yes! Several MyParkinsonsTeam members have reported positive experiences with reducing their Sinemet dosage. Some members have specifically noted that when their doctors lowered their Sinemet dose, their dyskinesia symptoms disappeared or significantly improved. However, it's important to note that medication adjustments can involve trade-offs. While some people experience fewer dyskinesia symptoms with lower doses, they might notice an increase in other symptoms like tremors. The key is finding the right balance that works best for your specific situation, which is why it's great that you're working with your neurologist to adjust your dosage.
