I use a meta 3 headset. Games I'm using at the moment are: Beat sabre for eye hand coordination, supernatural, both boxing and flo, for a workout, Powerbeats VR, my favourite workout at the moment because of eye hand coordination, and workout factor. I lose track of time when playing these because I push myself and I have to stay on my feet and they're fun, You could also play a number of these games while seated and still get an upper body workout. If I just use VR as a workout I always finish up with 15-20 minutes on the treadmill. I use other forms of exercise as well but right now it's mostly VR. When I was diagnosed four years ago, six months after my diagnosis, I was dragging my right foot couldn't use a computer anymore and had a lot of mental fog as well as being on 6 to 8 leavadopa carbidopa pills a day. Now my walk is normal no foot dragging, no brain fog, and I'm reading books again, as well as being able to use the computer. Also, with the help of my Neurologist, I tapered down. My levodopa to nothing, so I no longer take it, and just take a small dose of Mirapex .5 mg spread out over the day. Again, I did that last part with the help of my Neurologist.
Yes, @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, I play video games on my phone. I play Toy Blast, Monopoly Go, Monopoly March, Scrabble Go, block puzzles, as well as jigsaw puzzles. I also sort blocks and balls by color. The games exercise my brain, my hand-to-eye coordination. Scrabble and word games helps me remember my words, and playing the games in general, help me sleep and help my brain organize my thoughts and experiences in the recent past as it should instead of going crazy with night terrors.
I play VR workout games games for exercise. They're good cardio and besides working up a good sweat they develop your balance, eye/hand coordination, and your ability to react quickly. I just turned 75, dx 4 years ago and try to play for 1 to 1 1/2 hours a day,
