It's a scan of dopamine in your brain. Alot like a Cat Scan.
You get a shot, wait 45 minutes then get scanned.
I've had a couple.

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member - Datscans were approved in the US in 2011, so not that new. The skin punch biopsies are more recent, as are the tests on spinal fluid that are more accurate.
