I have an appointment with a new movement specialist on Friday, so I am hoping to get some answers. My current MS said she doesn't really know what type of Parkinson's + I have. The donepezil was given to me to help me focus on my walking. In her words "Given you are tolerating and there is some benefit, I would recommend continuing it."
They reason I am seeking a new neurologist is because she doesn't offer me any new research/ ideas/meds/or clarity and she speaks to me like I'm a little old lady whom she pities. My husband and my son both don't like her.
I have tried C/L on many different occasions for extended periods of time, but it hasn't done anything for me at all except that I find myself clenching my teeth.
I have movement problems alright- I have extreme festinating and freezing of gait along with festinating every movement (sweeping, doing my hair, writing, applying makeup, talking- just about anything I do)
I take PT 2x a week and she is phenomenal at what she does. I have high expectations for the new MS & I hope he can live up to it.

Hi Kim,
I was having a tough time with my carvo-levadopa leading to a discussion. He said, my “off” time were occurring due to the times of the day, I was taking my medicines. My doctor told me to take mine at 8:00am, 11:00am, 2:00pm and 7:00pm. He said a never miss a time. I have my cellphone set to ring specifically dedicated to my times. Essentially, its more dopamine during wake ours. The day walkers, wake me up early. I have to make myself get out of bed.

*You all please discuss your off times with your doctor. There are different mg of other drugs you take that may cause harm, if you use my times. Again, it’s so very important for your doctor to share with you the times he wants you to take your medicines.

Wear off time is when the medicine stops working, till the time it starts again.
