Many community members confirmed that Parkinson's disease does increase emotional sensitivity, describing sudden crying while watching TV, heightened anxiety, frustration with daily tasks like dressing, and bouts of depression tied to losing independence. Several members shared helpful strategies including writing down medication schedules, attending PT and OT, joining boxing programs, and working with a Movement Disorder Specialist to better manage symptoms. A recurring theme was the comfort found in knowing they are not alone, with members encouraging each other not to feel ashamed and to speak with their neurologist about emotional changes.

I take it the same time every day so it is easy to know when to take it.

That's a great answer. Don't read much or post much, but when i do, it helps emotionally. Best to everyone with PD.... Hope a cure is found soon.

Not overly emotional but anxiety is heightened when rushed or my spouse makes a commitment I was unaware of and it impacts my schedule.
Still a great caregiver.

Do not be ashamed Robert. This disease is brutal. Sometimes I’ll cry and can’t stop. We need to vent in our own way. I wish you peace in this life journey.
