Yes I would have it done again because the problem that I went for the DBS was corrected. But there are many other symptoms that are not helped with DBS. Bean
So, having a stimulator helped your dystonia but you are still experiencing on and off symptoms. Is that correct? Therefore you have to constantly adjust the settings .
I had DBS in 2019 and I am still having problems programing it. I have to say it did correct my dystonia problem completely and that is what I did it for so I cannot complain. I was told that it works very good for people with tremors but I did not have tremors. I did not like the entire procedure but I am a chicken when it comes to surgeries and since I had to be awake for the procedure I was not too happy with that even though it did not hurt at all. Good luck Bean
Dr. Reddy did mine at Arlington Hospital in Arlington. My MDS is Dr. Madhave Thomas. I am an ambassador for Abbott. If you can have it done, it is well worth it. I am still taking medication but I am living again.
How did you get fortunate enough to have insurance pay?
