Do you wake up in the am and realize you can't stop tremors even after taking meds and can't focus or concentrate on anything and dizzy as if you are not fully awake? This is awful!!!!

What you're describing — morning tremors that don't respond to medication, brain fog, difficulty focusing, and dizziness — sounds really exhausting and frustrating. You are absolutely not alone in this.

Many MyParkinsonsTeam members describe similar mornings, especially when medications haven't fully kicked in yet. This is sometimes called an "off" period, which can happen when medication levels drop overnight. The cognitive fog and dizziness you're feeling in the morning can be connected to a few things worth discussing with your doctor:

- Medication timing — your current dose may be wearing off overnight
- Sleep quality — poor sleep can make tremors, focus, and dizziness significantly worse during the day
- Dopamine levels — they naturally dip during sleep, which can make mornings especially rough

Bringing this up with your neurologist is really important. They may be able to adjust your medication schedule or timing to help you have better mornings.

Oh yes. I have all those issues. Most days I sit and wish I could just feel “normal “ again. It’s so frustrating!

I wake up in the morning around 7:00. No later than 7:45. If I am up earlier it’s hard on me. I take my PD meds at 8:00 AM, noon, 4:00 pm, 8:00 PM. I take my pills with me everywhere I go. I do great as long as I take them on time. II have been stressed for the last week and a half. This morning I woke up at 7:15 tired, brain fog off balance. I had a zoom appt that I thought was for 8:00. I sat in front of my IPAD from 7:50 and waited and waited some. I looked on my calendar and realized my appt was for 8:30. I had a PT person tell me that brain fog was just something doctors just tell patients that to pacify them. This was before I was diagnosed with PD. I didn’t go back to see him again and got a new PT person. I never realized I had tremors I had an appt with my neurologist. She asked if I ever have tremors and I told her no. She said I was having one now. That was early on but now they are much more noticeable. I have a hard time on my IPAD because sometimes the letters are hit a letter more than once. I hope this helps anyone else with these problems.
