Parkinson's tremors are most commonly noticed as a resting tremor — meaning the shaking is most visible when a limb is at rest. But the sensation of internal vibrating or shaking legs is something many MyParkinsonsTeam members relate to. There are a couple of movement-related symptoms worth knowing about:
- Tremors — rhythmic, involuntary shaking, often in hands, arms, legs, jaw, or torso
- Dyskinesia — more fluid, dance-like involuntary movements, often a side effect of levodopa
- Dystonia — involuntary muscle contractions that can cause cramping or twisting, sometimes in the feet or legs
The "vibrating from the inside" feeling can overlap with any of these. It's a good idea to track when it happens — for example, whether it occurs before or after taking medication — and share that pattern with your neurologist. Timing details can really help them fine-tune your treatment.
