I feel tired and exhausted from the moment I get out of bed. I purposely force myself to do things around the house. I have started cooking and cleaning up the kitchen. I told my husband I was tired of being an invalid. For the last six years he has totally shielded me from any activity. My advise is to take it slow and easy. I can’t go on walks anymore but I can move around my house. I pray you will take the time to move more. I’m still exhausted but I’m not glued to my chair anymore either. God bless you!!!
It's the "getting going" part that is the hardest for me - and has been since I was a kid, for some reason. More days than not, I want to sleep in, as I tend to stay up late or grapple with insomnia. I know for me the more I move, the more I want to move and the better my outlook is. It's just taking that first step! I feel my fatigue is closely related to my (genetic) depression, which I have had all of my life. I'm not sure which comes first for me - depression episodes or fatigue.
That's my biggest problem. Extreme fatigue and freezing of gait. But I feel lucky. No other.major health problems right now.
I am going to talk to my Neurologist about this extreme fatigue. I have heard that there are some decent meds available that may help. Good luck Russell!
Russell⁶, > have been doing physical therapy for an hour 2x a week. I am so exhausted afterwards I nap for several hours afterwards. I am ready to quit and just exercise at home.
