I'm finding increasingly difficult to speak especially if my mind is in "motor mouth" mode and my mouth can't keep up. It is worse when I am tired. I often can't explain things to my husband. I know what I want to say, but I can't put it together in words. Sometimes I get stuck and all that comes out is gibberish. Susan keep trying the therapy your DR recommends. Parkinsons Devvil can be wicked and trying but never never give up
Keep up with it if at all possible. I go back to my book if I get too bad. My issue is almost opposite of everyone else in that I tend to go faster than what my mind is going (walking and talking) so instead of going slower I speed up. Thankfully it's not all of the time but it does create falling events and words that run together making it hard for people to understand what I'm saying.
I believe I do have low blood pressure because I often feel light headed and my head throbs though it does not hurt. I am seeing a speech therapist on Wednesday. I also have requested an appointment with my neurologist's NP. Thanks for this information.
All I know is that the brain is responsible for all the symptoms of Parkinson's. It cannot be completely controlled, even with meds.
