Members responded to the question of whether Parkinson's has revealed hidden strength or taken more away, and the thread showed both deeply moving losses and unexpected gifts. Several members shared that the disease has brought them closer to family, deepened their faith, and taught them patience, presence, and a sharper sense of what truly matters in life. A recurring theme was honest acknowledgment of real loss, including driving independence, physical ability, and watching loved ones decline, balanced with quiet gratitude for slowing down and finding beauty in small moments like birds, butterflies, and even a caterpillar.

You got to make the morning last. 🎶 🎵
Just kickin' down the cobblestones,
Lookin' for fun, and
Feelin' GROOVY!!!!!!!!!

It has given me the opportunity to retire early and spend quality time with my family. It has also taught me to slow down and be present, in the moment ❤️
