Members responded with deep compassion to someone struggling with intense fear and anxiety related to Parkinson's disease, overwhelmingly affirming that these emotional symptoms are a real and recognized part of the condition. Several members shared helpful strategies including daily gratitude lists, working with a Parkinson's-specific psychiatrist, exploring medication adjustments, finding online exercise resources, and leaning on faith and community connection. A recurring theme was that no one should face this journey alone, and that small steps toward activity, support, and self-compassion can help break the cycle of anxiety and depression.

Joy, he is there sweetie. He is always there. Just know everything is in his timing. It took me awhile to get there, that it's God's timing, but now I just keep praying and waiting on his timing because his timing is perfect

(((HUGS))) most all of us here completely understand your fear and have our all unique ways of handling our anxiety ... I believe our PD brain is very different from before diagnosis!!! Over thinking, analyzing and obsessing can be exhausting!!! First, give yourself Grace ... this is a serious life event but your true spirit can overcome the challenges with a reassuring strategy to find a new way of enjoying this life with a disability!!! For me, I am forever grateful for the slowing of my life to give me time to explore many health and well-being practices, I never gave enough time to before ... which leads to this situation unfortunately but maybe saving me from other more devastating situations based on family health history!!! Many negatives to this but many more positives can be found with relaxing contemplation!!! Like Albert mentioned, if you need to talk/chat about any little or big topics, don't hesitate to contact me!! I pray for your resolution to your fears and send many positive vibes your way!!!
