Members rallied around a question about missing community members, with many sharing their own concerns about disappearing from the group due to family interference, health changes, or life events like moving. Several members offered reassurance that absences often have simple explanations, and one member shared a heartfelt reminder that people experience all kinds of life circumstances that can pull them away temporarily. A recurring theme was the deep sense of belonging this community provides, with members expressing how much they value staying connected with others who truly understand living with Parkinson's.

I'm still here...I have a Lego related absence...(it's not Lego, but it's as good - if not better!)

Bitterness is as Cockleburs

Though I sought not one
To have as my own,
Cockleburs seem to find me
Quite easily.
From my childhood home
I desired not to roam.
The last on the long road
Was our brick abode.
One neighbor house stood
On the south, made of wood.
Down the street were more
I didn't care for.
Already, I conceded,
I had all I needed:
A Dad, and a Mother,
Twin sisters, and a brother.
The other sides, three
As far as I could see
Grass fields would call
For the blades were tall
Enough to hide a boat
I pretended to float,
Just my pet bugs and me.
Till I heard, "CINDY!"
My fun was over
Cockleburs covered
My hair and my shirt,
My tights and my skirt.
We picked and we plucked
The cockleburs stayed stuck
It seemed to take hours
Before I could shower.
Days later, I'd find
In clothes of mine,
Cockleburs were parked,
Shaded in the dark
Pockets and pouches
They caused ouches!
The surprises
Were not the nicest.
A lesson I learned
From the stickers I spurned,
Authorities have worth,
As they rule on the earth,
But it's not enough
When things seem too tough.
Some time in the past
A pain you had cast
Away and behind;
Out of your mind.
You thought you got rid
Of the pain that was hid
In the darkest part,
Down deep in your heart.
Then once again
You're filled with pain.
You search for the name
Of someone to blame.
But Jesus paid for all sin,
The future and back then.
What good does it do
To stir rotten stew?
Vengeance is God's.
We can't handle those rods.
Jesus paid the toll,
The price for your soul.
What is your task?
You only need ask.
When your eye is clean
You can see as you're seen.
