That heavy, weighed-down feeling is very real and something many people with Parkinson's experience. You are definitely not alone in this.

What you're describing sounds like it could be a combination of a few Parkinson's symptoms working together:

- Fatigue — Up to 80% of people with Parkinson's experience deep, bone-tired exhaustion that rest doesn't fix. It can make even simple movements feel nearly impossible.
- Bradykinesia — This is a slowness of movement where your body just doesn't respond as quickly or easily as it used to.
- Muscle rigidity — Stiffness in muscles can make limbs feel heavy and hard to lift. One MyParkinsonsTeam member described it perfectly: *"I figured I was not able to move as fast as I used to, but I never thought about the fatigue that would take over my body."*

The loss of dopamine means every movement requires more conscious effort, which drains energy fast. It's worth bringing this specific feeling up with your neurologist, as there are strategies that can help manage it.
