@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, Do you have Spotify?? If not, YouTube can help. Try this:
Search for "Relaxing music."
Find something you like; not too long or too short.
While the music plays,
Relax your toes
Relax your feet
Relax your legs below the knees
Relax your legs above the knees
Relax your belly muscles
Relax your lower back muscles
Take a long, relaxing breath
Let your breath out nice and slow
Relax your neck muscles
Relax your jaw muscles
Relax the rest of the muscles in your face and head
Check everything else for anywhere that needs to relax.
Do this for the duration of whatever music you chose.
Let us know how it was.

What you're feeling right now sounds really overwhelming, and it makes complete sense that you're struggling to separate what's Parkinson's from what's anxiety. The truth is — they're deeply connected, and untangling them is genuinely hard, even for doctors.

Parkinson's affects the brain chemicals that regulate mood and anxiety, not just movement. So the freezing, the panic, the circling feeling — these can all be part of the same storm. Since your doctor is away, here are some things worth trying right now:

- Break the cycle with movement — even a short walk can help reset your nervous system
- Try music instead of meditation — music therapy has shown real benefits for anxiety in Parkinson's when traditional meditation feels impossible
- Ask the office staff specifically if there's a covering physician or nurse practitioner who can help while your doctor is away — you shouldn't have to wait
- Write down exactly what you're experiencing so you're ready when your doctor returns You are absolutely not alone in this. A MyParkinsonsTeam member once shared that their fears about Parkinson's were actually *adding* to their pain — and that consciously deciding to release that burden helped them focus on managing day by day.

One small step at a time is enough. You reached out today — that counts. 💙

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
All you need to know is that Jesus paid the price for your eternal life. It's a gift, so all you need to do is accept it, receive it, eternal life with Jesus is yours for the asking. If you already accepted Christ as your Saviour, he doesn't forget his own.
You don't need to trust your understanding. Take Jesus at his word.
Trust Jesus.
