There are just so many medication and would like to hear from someone who actually had some success with something. Looking for Tried and True, rather then Trial an Error!
Can anyone recommend a Medicine they have taken in the Early Stage of PD that reduced slight tremor and gave them a better overall feeling without side effects
Looking for a small dose and maybe time released!
Any thoughts?
I take rasigline and i have high blood pressure. None of my doctors have mentioned this may be related, next visit I will ask them.
If anyone is paying an outrages price for Azilect (I was paying $375 for three months), I just refilled mine and the generic brand is now available in the USA. I paid $25.00 for a three month supply of Rasagiline (this is the generic brand.) About time!!!!
That med is one Bill no longer takes. I think he had hallucinations while on it!
There is no actual proof that azilect actually does slow the progression of Parkinsons and it hasn't been used for very many years so I am trying to find someone who has taken it for several years. It is a gamble especially with the cost.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member It would be best to go through the four-week session with a certified physical therapist. It is not online. You can purchase a DVD and use it for follow-up on your own. I… read more
I've been taking that for about six years. At first, it seemed to reduce my tremors. Lately, it does not appear to be as effective. I see my doctor next week and I will see what he suggests.

I went to see a new neurologist who recommended Azelect and said most of her patients improve on this drug. I am on Medicare and the cost per month over $800. Has anyone tried this drug and had success with it? Do you know if the drug company has a discount program? My old neurologist told me that this drug has not been scientifically proven to be neuro-protective Any info or experience would be helpful.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member I have looked online and spoken to a few folks in the medical community. There is no valid info. about a generic version as yet.

I have not taken this med yet. What is it for?
Hello everyone. Thank you so much for giving me so much information and suggestions on dystonia. I think I found a doc but cant get in until April which for me seems a lifetime away. I have another question....Azilect. For what purpose is it used. Is it like cabo.leva or does it have other properties? Are there dietary restriction with this treatmen? Is it working well for you. Thanks for any info you can provide. Hope you are having a wonderful day and Gods Blessings to you all!!!
So far I haven’t met anyone else with PD who does.
That’s the sort of thing l mean. People find it hard to understand what I’m saying if I cry at the same time. Sometimes l start to laugh for no apparent reason
example:"Yes, our co-pay is very high (about $46.00 a month) but when my husband hits the Donut Hole it's much worse. We order elsewhere. $300.00 for a 30 day supply is to ridiculous, which we cannot afford. Can get 50 for $160 elsewhere. Tried to take him off of it because of the cost but his tremors got worse. He has been on Azilect ever since he was diagnosed in 2010"
Should be planetdirectdrugs.com sorry
