Does Carbidopa/levodopa Cause The Freezing Shuffling In Place Thing.

Does Carbidopa/levodopa Cause The Freezing Shuffling In Place Thing.

Lately I have been freezing and my legs move but not forward. It's like I'm standing there doing some weird dance. I was thinking of lowering my carbidopa/lepodopa. I take 3 pills a day. I hear that some people substitute amino acids for the carbidopa.
What are the amino acid that you take and how are the results. I have been on carbidopa/lepodopa for 10 years
Thanks for your help

Any Agencies That Provide Assistance For Overly Expensive PD Medication

My doctor (Dr Perlmutter in St Louis) has prescribed additional carbidopa to be taken with my regular medication in hopes of eliminating severe chest pains we feel are caused by the carbidopa–levodopa (Sinemet). Unfortunately, the cost of carbidopa alone (no generic available) is an astounding $700 a month with my portion being half of that! These chest pains (not heart related; not GERD or acid related) have gotten worse and worse and I… read more

Overdose Of Carbidopa/levodopa

Overdose Of Carbidopa/levodopa

I just accidentally took 2 carbidopa/levodopa tabs at the same time; one is timed released, a 50/200 mg and the second one; 25/100 mg which is the one I take 4 times/per day. I'm concerned about side effects.
