Not currently, but some pills trigger it. Ongentys was the worst.
My neurologist recently changed my meds to Rytary. It seems to be working better then the generic C/L.
It's incredibly expensive ($1300/mo). Of course now being on SSDI I couldn't afford it.
At first my health insurance declined to cover it. Then suddenly they flipped and informed they would cover it. So now it's only $25/mo.
Has anyone else had that sort of experience?
Or has there been undesirable side effects with this med?

I’m wondering if anyone can shed some light on a problem. My ex-husband (don’t worry….I’m not looking to finish him off-----we’re the best of friends) is in incredible, I mean INCREDIBLE pain. His tremors are under control thanks to medication and his balance is OK but the pain…. From what he describes, it sounds like muscle contractions that don’t go away. It used to be in his lower extremities but he just told me that now it’s travelled to his shoulders. He walks hunched over and can… read more
Hi,
I have pain due to muscle contractions in my calf, neck and shoulder. Full body massage helps, stretching and going to a chiropractor will help. What medication is your husband on? I take Sinemet.
Check out generics
Ropinirole - @12mg daily gave me dystonia in right foot.
Opicapone (ongentsys) - @50mg daily gave me EXACTLY the same dystonia (plus crippling insomnia and a urine infection).
Neither seemed to have any effect on the performance or longevity of the l-dopa.
The only thing other than L-dopa that's worked for me is Rasagiline (Azilect). Is it just me?
Sorry James, normally I get stuff quickly, but I'm left scratching my head over your answer...can you be clearer?
Has anyone taken Inbrija? It took me 2 months to get it but I got it Tuesday pm & took it for the first time yesterday. It started working in about 10 minutes & full effect was about 35 min. I usually have totally incapacitating off times. Dizzy, lightheaded, nausea, shortness of breath, overall weakness, stiffness, hand & leg tremors, severe & painful toe curling. It usually lasts for about an hour-1.5 hours & sometimes my Sinemet doesnt work at all. I was totally taken back, praising the Lord… read more
