Ropinerole

Ropinerole

When I began having unusual movements (dyskinesua) on carb/levidopa, my doc put me on ropinerole (Requip) instead, but I don't seem to feel any better on it. But i'm on only on 1 mg three times per day. Is anybody else on this drug? Does it work for you?

Honestly @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, there is so much going on in the body that affects how we respond to the meds. We should be keeping a detailed log of what we eat, when we take our meds, when we… read more

Vivid Dreams Are Sometimes A Side Effect Of Requip/ropinirole

Quite often Parkies report thrashing or fighting in their dreams and acting this out while sleeping, so their partner must sleep elsewhere.
But sometimes those vivid dreams are powerful and life-confirming.

Has Any One Experienced A Noticeable Difference In The Effect Of Their Medication, Levodopa, After A Colonoscopy?

Has Any One Experienced A Noticeable Difference In The Effect Of Their Medication, Levodopa, After A Colonoscopy?

Seriously, here is the explanation. For as long as I can remember, 2-3 years, I have suffered from sleep attacks. My MDS thought it was probably a side effect of the Ropinirole (requip) so we lowered the dose. Had little to know change on my sleep attacks. I suspected the levodopa do to the observation that 20 minutes or so after I take it I am very sleepy. If I am idle, I will sleep, usually in the form of a sleep attack. On the morning of my colonoscopy, I took none of my am med to… read more

SSRI's And Parkinson's Meds.

SSRI's And Parkinson's Meds.

My spouse has Parkinson's and is presently on Requip. Levodopa did not work out. I recently saw an article on the internet about how SSRI antidepressants could be a conflict. He also takes Zoloft 25mg, which is a low dose, and has been on it for about 3 years before his diagnosis. I don't always trust what is part of WWW, so thought I should go to a source I do trust. This site and its members. Let me know if you know of anything or a trustworthy link I could review. God bless!!!
