Does Anyone Take Trihexyphenidyl And Carbidopa-Levodopa? I Take The Trihexyphenidyl 1 Tablet 3 Times And Carbidopa-Levodopa 1 Tablet 5 Time
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

5 times a day. I find that sometimes I take the Carbidopa-Levodopa and it is not consistent. Sometimes it works in about an hour and sometimes it doesn’t work at all. Same thing with the Carbidopa-Levodopa. If you have this problem and found a way to keep it consistent, I would like to hear about it.

If you eat protein within 1/2 hour before or 1 hour after taking your Carbidopa/LevDopa the protein competes with C/L thereby reducing the effectiveness of the drug.

Medication - Trihexyohenidyl
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi Everyone,

I've been taking Levodopa for sometime to curb my resting hand tremors in my left hand. Lately the tremors are increasing to point where I consulted with my doctor for alternatives to take. I was prescribed to take Trihexyohenidyl with my Levodopa which I read has numerous side effects such as confusion. I am very hesitant to try as I am concerned of the negative side effects and what it will create while I'm out with friends or at work.

Is anyone taking this and if so… read more
