Some of my nails are spliting almost to the cuticle. others are lifting from the nail bed. (both hands and feet)
Yes I have trouble with my finger nails...lines all the way 2 my cuticles and they split, I don't wear polish now...HELP🤔
I mostly am looking for a way to get my toes a normal color. I don't think it is fungus; I think it is from the dystonia. I am already getting botox injections and they help but I am late getting one now.
White paint? Sorry. I would see a podiatrist.
I take Hair skin and nail pills and Biotine. My hair and skin are good, but my nails are still terrible.
Lately I have been biting my nail down to the quick. My nails used to be long until I got Parkinson's. I haven't told my Neurologist, yet. Anyone else have this, It seems like a trivial problem, though it concerns me.
Yes. I am very nervous.
I've been having a problem with my toenails detaching from the nail bed. So far it's happening on 3 toes. The toe starts hurting. It feels like a blister but it's the nail detaching. It hurts for days & then it stops as the skin starts to get hard. So far I haven't lost a nail but you can see the separation. The shape of the nail is changing shape. It's very painful when it starts. I see my internist in 2 weeks & I will tell her what's happening. I'm wondering if it's another problem caused… read more
I just reread my previous answer and have some clarifications and corrections to itl: "My neurologist tells ME..." and I file the hardened skin as well as the nails
Yes. My hair is getting thin. I use Biotin. It helps.
Our daughter met her long time “beau” at “Burning Man” festival. I’m a part of the “Woodstock” generation!
Of course I know that everyone's Parkinson's is different. But out of curiosity I would like to know how many of us have lost the ability to write or to draw.
I myself have been unable to sign my name for over 10 years. I'm unable to draw a line or a circle, even using a ruler or a stencil. If I use both hands and write very slowly I can write half a dozen shaky words before my hands loose total control.
Please let me know if you can still write. This is just a curiosity thing, indulge me.

I can still sign my name but my penmanship is hardly legible.
As my toes frequently claw it means when I’m walking I’m putting pressure on the tips of my toes, this in turn causes a build up of hard skin and corns. I regularly attend a podiatrist and I also attended a physiotherapist but nothing seems to help. Anyone experiencing a similar issue?
Fittzer, you do what you have to do to get a good nights sleep. It worked for me. Bean
My dad has had his 3rd fall in three months. This time we found him on the floor for about 24 hours, soiled himself and was having halucinations. I had to call the ambulance and he is now on day 3 in the hospital (Really upset with me by the way!). He can no longer be by himself in Independent living. We are here in The Colony, Texas and I am looking for other care options for dad. Do you have recommendations? This in itself will kill him.
Falling is scary. I just fell yesterday and fortunately I had someone to help.
