Wondering if anyone has tried LSVT Big Therapy and if so, has it helped. I have been doing some research and it seems to give people walking with bigger steps and generally helping people with PD to move easier. Looking for a therapist in the Cherry Hill, NJ area.
I did it last month. 2 days a week of physical therapy and 2 days a week of occupational therapy. First day was hard. I realized during initial evaluation that I couldn't do several things that I thought I could...balance was worse than I thought, etc. By the end of the month I was amazed. I had improved in every area by leaps and bounds. Even played some badminton outside on uneven grass! Had some doubts when I started and got the daily exercises but they really work!!! Highly recommend it.
My husband did 5 weeks , four times a week. Started off really good but then it began to be too much for him.We stopped but continue to do exercises everyday. Not completely the "big" exercises but exercises. I think it depends on the advancement of the disease , etc. but would we recommend it, yes we would.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member and @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member I'm starting the programme in January - perhaps you could keep us up to date on your progress . I'm getting it 4times a week for 4weeks.

No, but can I ask if you are also taking Mirapex!?
YES , I HAVE , you must keep using it and talk loud . but it works
