I take an antidepressant along with my other Parkinson's medications. My depression started before my symptoms for Parkinson's disease so my antidepressant is something I have taken for a long time. I have also had problems with back pain and stiffness before Parkinson's. My MD said for me to move to decrease my back pain. Moving also helps depression. Lying in bed all day is never going to benefit your depression or pain. Has your MD suggested that you stay in bed for some reason?
