I have not heard or read our neuro's diagnosis with the word 'akinetic rigid PD' but my husband experiences muscle rigidity in his back muscles, neck and shoulder area. He is given botox injections on the area 3 to 3 1/2 months apart by our neurologist. check/see with your neuro if this will work

My husband may have it too as he is always complaining of the pain in his neck and back and how stiff he feels.
