Does anyone have a lack of appetite, digestive and bowel problems? I am so thin and frail (lost 50 lbs in 3 months last year)

Yes I have loss of appetite as well ... And when I eat I feel quite full after eating a small amount. I make sure to eat healthy meals as I don't want to lose any weight... Digestive has alway been an issue .. I am now gluten free and very little dairy which helps a lot.. I eat 2 tablespoons ground flax with milk kefir and fruit in the mornings keeps the bowels moving nicely!!

Sometimes lack of appetite is linked with the loss of smell. Chuck likes stronger flavors now because of this and very moist foods which are easier to swallow.

I know it's like having straight hair and wishing it was curly! I have gained about 30lbs..even when I was doing Pedaling for Parkinson's class at 82rpm for 1 hour 3 x a week. And now that I recently had lots of shoulder surgery, and will be out about 6 months, my weight just goes up and up! As for regularity, my Neuro PA gave me this recipe: drink water or juice daily with one capful of Miralax AND mix up 1 cup of raw oat bran, 1/2 cup of prune juice and 1/2 cup of applesauce and eat a tablespoon daily. You can add some cinnamon if you like. You should make a new batch each week. Works and tastes great. May try it with turmeric, which is supposed to be good for the joints. Makes my husband crazy when I call it my poop goop!

I don't have lack of appetite, just the opposite. I eat sweets all the time and have gained weight over the past year. I asked my neuro about it and she said it probably had to do with loss of smell. My taste buds are craving the sweets cause they can't taste other things. I do have a problem with constipation. I tried all of the Colace and laxatives, but didn't like them. I will drink a cup of coffee and eat a fiber bar with it every morning, and that seems to get things going.

Hello KatieFarrelKline, I've had this problem and found if I eat when I feel like it at no set times and just have small meals it is a lot easier I have 2 glasses of warm water in the morning as soon as I get up and that seems to help the bowels but then everyone is different and what works for one may not work for someone else Best wishes Pam
