Hi, Just Wondered If Low Vit D Level Is Common In P.D?
Hubby has had vit D level tested and its low, 29, UK level, just want to know if others with P.D have low levels, thanks

What level of Vitamin D would you feel was acceptable?
You mention Vitamin D may "assist in Parkinson's recovery." "recovery?" I thought I was destined to a slow decline. I do admit that I feel better now that I'm on medicine (Azilect and Newpro), gluten free, more careful with diet, and fairly strenuous exercise program, and vitamin supplements (C, D, B12, Q10)
I only added specificity to give you an idea of where I am coming from. I don't expect detailed response, just general direction.
Thank you.

I have low vitamin D also. Dr. prescribed 2000 units daily and I am good.
My doctor put me on 5000 vitamin D said all PD.people areally short of that one.

Thank you for your suggestions. I'm new as you can see from my post.
I'll order the book "Goodbye Parkinson's, Hello Life."
Again, thank you for your support and timely response
Bill
I take the maximum dosage as recommended by the manufacturer @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member.
Slow decline is a narrative which is out of date. It is possible to reverse the symptoms and be stable for a long time. There are a lot of people out there who have and are doing this. A lot of books on the subject too. Have you read "Goodbye Parkinson's, Hello Life" by Alex Kerten as just one example?
