There is actually a test for PD. Its called Da Tscan. You can find it online.

There is no diagnostic tests for PD.The PD neurologist usually does a complete physical.He will also ask you numerous questions regarding you medical history. Good luck !

Whomever ultimately becomes the person to render a diagnosis and appropriate treatment, if at all possible, please be sure that it is a neurologist with additional training in movement disorders. Given potential complications due to medication side effects, you really do need a specialist. The University of Miami has a Parkinson's Disease "Center of Excellence" providing comprehensive care and diagnosis, with physicians who have the training that is needed to make a correct diagnosis in your situation. YOUR health is more important than worrying about offending any of your existing health care providers. Any physician worth his/her salt understands the need to consultant with a specialist sometimes. Get the best care you can possibly get, so that you get the correct diagnosis and optimal treatment! Dowd it is my understanding that there is no definitive test for PD . It is diagnosed by observing the various symptoms.
