I was diagnosed with MS by two Neurologist - Misdiagnosed, I should say...They kept switching different Meds trying to pigeon hole me into one of the 14 (?) types of MS...Wasn't until my NeurPysch got me to try PD Meds that it was deemed PD...I have heard similar stories many times...

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member So similar to myself honestly, I was told I had essential tremor which is in both arms, legs, hands , head and vocal cords . My GP said after the letter came from neurologist that they are calling it ''Parkinonism".. so who do we believe? Nice to get talking to someone with medical history like myself ...Pat

@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member I was told in 1995 that I had a mild form of MS after being admitted to hospital for 5 days . This was based on symptoms I had been experiencing for a long time . A test called visual evoked responce showed a positive result for Ms ... but as time when on my symptoms narrowed down to a tremor in my right hand , I had 3 MRI scans in the past 15 years and none of them showed MS as would have been expected at this stage . My balance has gone now and I walk with a stick most of the time and my tremors have spread so now they say PARKINSOMISM. I hope this didn't sound like a rant . I hope you get some clarity over your diagnoses because this can be very stressful and embarrassing. Please let us know how it goes ...pat
