@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member They thought I had carpal tunnel and sent me to get an EMG. It was normal, so I ignored it. Friends told me I was shaking my right hand. The tremors spread to my left side as well. I looked up the symptoms of PD and it was kind of scary because I had so many symptoms. The progression was very similar to yours. My typing speed went from 60+ wpm to about 10 wpm. I think the stress from my job accelerated my symptoms as well.
My thumb moved on it's own was all it was at first, As I look back it stress was a great part of it also. Felt like I couldn't cope. After I was diagnosed we sold out business and that helped with the stress a lot. Next came the tremor just on one hand. After that came the pain in the joints and stiffness.. I have had Parkinson's for 5 years ,The past few years it has been sleep. It is difficult for me to turn off my life to go to sleep. I am doing better now at making sure I get some. I find reading is the best way for me to relax
Hope this helps. I know it is different for all of us.
My toes on my left foot separated. There is a 2" space between my big toe and my little toes. That happen around 4 summers ago. Dr. did not know why it happen. That fall I had bad pain in my upper legs. Went to ER two times. Then my left foot started to drag. I had no idea what was going on. Then I notice Tremors and went to a neurologist. That was in 10/2014
thank you for posting. It is interesting to know how each of us have progressed with Parkinson's
It seems to me thst i woke up one morning and my legs were weak. So weak they could barely support me. I had balance problem and fell alot. But the neurologist wasn’t suspecting pd he was looking for something else. About a year a half later my toes started curling, a tremor in my left hand started and i started maaking. I was finally diagnosed with pd.
