I find that finding chairs with arm supports helps. Also, limit the amount of time you spend in the chair.

There is a physical therapy exercise that helps. You can check it out on line. It is part of the LSVT BIG program of exercise for PD.

Roger has no motor skills left but we get him up out of his chair and make him move !!!!!!We stay close by in case of falls but he does walk with freezups ..........

Have you tried a lift chair? This helps my husband get to a height that makes it easier to rise.

Doing a side step and using a laser pointer helps with freezing but it is bad. I have it every day too!
