A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

My husband was recently diagnosed with PD/Dementia. He has had Dementia for 2 years. His Neurologist prescribed Levadopa for him. He has a little hand shaking, walking problems, internal tremors, etc. However I can't tell the difference in Dementia causing this or PD. Hi ,I've tried Dr John Grays (Mars/Venus) amino acid shakes and it's helped w my tremors. I've got PD and need to decide to go his direction(Dr Marty Hines) w the amino acid regimen or take the conventional route w sinamet. I've got other issues than the tremors as we all seem to. You can't do both due to the protein

As your husband also has dementia, I strongly suggest researching deeply ketogenic diets (heavy on the coconut oil). Look up in particular Dr Veech's work, Dr Mary Newport an Dr Brain Fife. As a starting point, listen to the pod casts on "Parkinson's Recovery Radio" website.
