I no longer know what normal is
I took Entacapone for 3 months. It did not extend the time my Carbadopa-levadopa worked and it made me wiggle, gave me jerky movements and I talked like crazy. I am normally on the quiet side. My DR. took me off it and I am back to normal. Well, as normal as a person can be with PD.
Sounds like your fatigue is from taking so many doses of medication! 😟
Just to be 100% clear I take;
1x100/25mg [[treatment:levodopa/carbidopa:55d534f51fcaa397470006dd]] normal release
1x100/25mg [[treatment:levodopa/carbidopa:55d534f51fcaa397470006dd]] slow release
1x200mg Entacapone
every 6 hours (6am, noon, 6pm, midnight)
I also take 1mg Azilect every 24 hours (6am).
Currently the effect of the Entacapone is questionable, and my "off time" starts between 30 minutes to an hour prior to my dosage time, and lasts until an hour to 90 minutes after (on average, but it can vary wildly).
Seeing my Parkinson's nurse team at 0930 today to see if I can even out the rollercoaster...wish me luck!
My doctor put me on Rytary and I got better immediately. Got my sense of smell and taste back and I feel much better. I take Rasagiline with it. I was diagnosed in 2014
