And on to the next drug. Insurance will not authorize the @Rytary until I fail at least two drugs on their list. So this is the second drug Carbidopa levodopa enta 200 milligrams. Supposed to believe this makes the l-dopa last longer so I don't have an off time of two to three hours. I'll be taking one three times a day. wondering if anyone else has experienced with this medication
My boyfriend w PD, took 4 a day, then later switched to the extended release. Good results w both drugs for him. After his DBS though, his meds have decreased to only taking the Stalevo as needed. Hope this was helpful
Yes dizzy and lightheaded but I was like that when I first started the carb/levo and then again when I started the mirapex. That finally went away and now it's back again with the new drug so hopefully it levels out and I don't feel like that anymore
I'm on reequip 6 mg and carpi/leva ( I call CL) Were raising the requip to 8. It works pretty good together. I hope I adjust to 8 quickly as it makes me sick for 3-4 days every time we go up. Are you dizzy or light headed?? Good luck and let me know how you do
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member My doctor just add on a drug called Requip 2 weeks ago and it does help prolong the on time with Carbi/Leva 25/100 but it still too early for me to tell the effectiveness completely.
I tried the carbidoa levadopa enta combination and had a lot of problems. When I switched to Stalevo I had much better luck with my symptoms.I now use that and pramapexole ER and are having reasonable sucess.
