For the last few weeks, I am continuously singing songs in my head! It's driving me nuts! It's different songs, one right after another! It will be gospel songs, the oldies "60's", anything. I used to sing gospel songs as a soloist, but my voice has changed from a soprano, to a low bull frog. I'm not even singing in our choir right now cause I don't want anyone to hear me. This has happened just over the past few months. I sang my last solo about three months ago, and I had such a hard… read more
Voice management can be a challenge to PD patients. I took a course ("LSVT") with professionals trained in this technology; I remember 'S' was for the name Silverman. I learned to practice in privacy and manage my voice both in volume and pronunciation. Then I also took treatment learning how to strengthen my throat, tongue and swallowing muscles. Simple clues were taught. It was very helpful and I learned how to project my voice overcoming squeeky sounds. Seek these remedies from hospitals and professional agencies in your area.
Hi there, I have recently started singing in my head .Like you, I used to sing and had fairly good voice but now even a bullfrog has a more tuneful voice. Actually I have an additional problem and that is that I have taken to singing in my sleep, which is driving my partner nuts. She says that she can't even tell what song I'm trying to sing, but I'm doing it with gusto.:-)
I have elvira in my head im sick of it!!!
l never had a voice good enough to sing solo, but I was a choir soprano. For quite a while over the last couple of years I was just lip-synching most of the songs and "chirping" a few things here and there. Luckily, we have a very sympathetic director who didn't mind that I was doing that. I was very careful to sing very quietly, if at all. I began to realize that I can still sing in tune with the oldies while in the car. So, I asked Michael, the director, If he could just listen and see if it was all right if I sang along more or less with the men. I've been choir long enough to have the good sense not to mess up an important song, and now I'm able to sing along again to most things. I don't know if this would be a possibility for you, but it works pretty good for me. PD take so many things away from us that, if it's possible to hold onto one thing a little bit longer, it can make you feel almost normal for a little while. God bless.
I hear music, clasical in my head on occasion, if I talk it stops, only when it's quiet do I hear wonderful music, sometimes it starts when I wake up.then goes away for weeks only to come back and stay for a few days, thank heaven it's not hip hop
