Botox In Feet
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone had Botox shots for painful toe curling and did it help?I'm on pramipexole 225 mg/day which is not helping my toe curling at all. My doctor prescribed balance therapy which I start next week and wants to give me Botox shots.

I'm feeling my toes differently. Right ones kind of curling down like hammer toes. Part of PD??

Yes. That's called dystonia, and I have it also. My toes curl, mostly on the more severely affected side. And sometimes I have horrible painful cramps in my lower leg and my ankle which cause my foot to turn inward. it's extremely painful

Yes I have had botex in both feet, wasn't for the toe curling it was to keep my big toes curling upwards, my other toes curled under so walking was painful. It helped a couple of times but has been less so this time. I find Epsom salts in a foot spar really helps my feet when they bad. Wish you well

Hi Sue yes I have the same problem and was really surprised when I came across a foot masage lady who had very good knowledge and treated my feet like any others muscle. Sorry to say it hurt a lot but there is a lot of tension held in your feet so treat it like any other muscle stretch get your feet massaged and hers the curve ball. Take your shoes off and walk outside the best treatment is to walk on shingle it hurts but you soon accommodate the pain 5 mins only but exposing the bottom of your feet to the pointy bits of the shingle really stimulates the feet. Hope this works for you.
