please include the brand if you know it.
Thanks so much, sherry
I wear Propet shoes (these only seem to be sold online, but they have both men's and women's)- slip on but good support and comfortable.
They also have walking shoes which have velcro, which is easier than laces (wish there were more velcro shoes for people over the age of 5)
For exercise classes I got Under Armor cross-trainers; they have laces which I double-tie; I find that slip on shoes are too loose to be safe for exercise. These were the most comfortable when I was looking for new athletic shoes; just plain sneakers are inexpensive but have poor support.
I have found flat shoes can impair walking as they don't help with leg drag a slight heel in a wedge style seems to be good for me no higher than say 2inchs high would probably help most women even my neuro surgeon explained to me as heels put pressure on the toes that why they help.
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member I use a brand known as
Vionics. They have athletic, sandals, dress, and booties. Cute shoes as well they have built in super support. I have problems with balance this brand of shoes helps me and they're very comfortable. vionics.com
Erika: it seems that everyone has a special kind of shoes they wear. I use to wear Rebocks. But when I stared having heel pain, the Dr I had at the time told be about the Brooks. I don't wear anything else. For me they are the best shoes. I do wear Sketchers, but for a short time Only.
Thanks for the information!
