RenaeWhiteleyMcFarland - the reason you keep seeing Alzheimer's patients mixed up with PD patients is because as PD progresses, the PD patient acquires Alzheimer's. However, the reverse is not true - there are many Alzheimer's patients who have never had PD & never will.

Thanks all. I have spoken to his parkinson nurse who advised that he may have entered in the advanced/ complex stage of PD.... the concern is he is doing it when he is eating which is worrying his medical team due to the risk of chocking....
the issue we are facing on the top is that to him he hasnt go PD or Alzheimers... his reasoning « its not proven » etc... his consultant has told him loads of times but i go in circles with it all. If he has reached the complex stage which comes with its own set of challenges it will be another merrygoround to get him the help he needs...
