I am at lost as to what to do or take regarding severe mucus that goes on day and night . I have tried everything in the drug store.(over the counter ) You name it I have tried it. The doctors put me on prescribed nasal sprays like Atrovent and other kinds of med.s like , Robinul (tablet) and on and on. No one has come up with something that works. The only time I had something that helped, worked for one year then stopped.

I take Benadryl (OIC). Works in ten minutes for me and doctor says OK. Quick fix -- do you have a facial steamer? Don't know what it's called. You put water in it and whein it steams you put your face in it and take deep breaths. It's for your complexion but will unplug your nasal passages if you are having that problem too. Good luck.

I feel for you! I have it too, especially when I wake up in the morning. Somehow, ice water, instead of hot helps. Also gargling with HOT helps. I think this comes from the sympton "swallowing", which I have. The mucus makes me cough terribly. At night sometimes makes me drool. My doctor says it is from allergy.
