Hello!
Has anyone else had excessive saliva, and if so how do you cope with it? I am having a terrible time with excessive saliva! My neurologist gave me Botox shots 10 weeks ago but they did nothing! I also have Scopolamine transdermal patches that I change every 72 hours that don't do anything either!

I too have excessive salvia so I keep a tissue but sometimes when I sleep my gown is soaked on my right shoulder .I have tried sleeping with a towel but it just doesn't work to well. It is really embarrassing when you go to speak and the salvia rushes out first I hope everyone takes my condition in context

Tried Botox. Did not work the first time but has been 100% successful since then. Different Doc used more and put it a different area. It’s been more then a year now. Stay strong

Hi. I have had excessive saliva since I was pregnant with my third child. Have officially had pd for seven years and now I carry a tissue with me everywhere to mop up the leakage. Lol. I'm not sure whether it was caused by pregnancy or was actually an early symptom of pd. I hope you find an answer soon. xx

Hi. I have a problem with excess saliva but also with swallowing....definitely due to my pd. I have started doing excercises to help with these issues which I found on youtube which are demonstrated by speech therapists.

HELLO! I HAVE BEEN GETTING BOTOX FOR SEVERAL MONTHS WITH INCREASING DOSAGES BUT IT HAS NOT HELPED!
I also wear a scopolamine patch behind my ear that I change every 72 hours!! That did work fore a while but now the salver is terrible!
My neurologist wants me to go to an ENT doctor who will probably suggest taking my salivary gland out!! I have heard that that isn't good because it leads to tooth problems!
Good Luck!
