Anyone on neupro patch
@ Ruth Hill - I have been on Neupro patches for several years now - they are brilliant I apply 2 daily (1 x8mg) + 1x 2 mg) - They can irritate the skin but that doesn't bother me. I also take Azilect 1 mg and Sinemet Plus25 mg & Entacapone 200 mg.
Hi I just started using the Neupro patch along with My other medicine It is keeping me on a more even on/off time.. I take Rytary every 3 to 31//2 hours but no more than 5 times a day. I take Amantadine 3times for the dyskinesia's. I have been using the patch for almost 2 weeks and it seems I have less" off" times and I can go longer between doeses
Yes I am I have found it helps me sleep but that’s the only difference I have noticed.
I just started the Neupro patch just over a week ago. 2 mg patch is the dose I am on. Currently I also take 1 Azilect, 3 Entacapone and 2 Sinemet three to four times a day. The plan is to increase my Neupro dosage and dial down my Sinemet intake. Already I notice that my off times are more predictable with the patch. I keep changing the location of the patch because it does irritate my skin. It's early but I think the patch will work for me.
The Neupro patch was the first medication I was given, along with Pramipexole, by my original neurologist. Started on 1 mg first 2 weeks, then bumped to 2 mg. It was like somebody flipped a switch! At the 2-week point, a coworker commented that we should've taken video, because the difference on my gait was amazing. Wicked nausea that first month; lost 10 pounds. Eventually that subsided, although it still happens on occasion, but it may not be due to Neupro. That was almost 5 years ago. Now up to 8 mg; also taking Rytary 95's (3) 4x's/day, Amantadine 100 3x's/day, Selegiline 5 2x's/day, Nourianz 40 daily (recent addition.) I'd say the potential side effets are worth the risk; I love the Neupro patch!
