probably is hereditary - I can check. The bad kind of thrombocytopenia is related to cancer risk. I will have too look into it further and get back to you. I have done the 23 and Me dna kit and get a report from promethease.com that upddates all the research on genes stored on snpedia.org, for $12 now (they've raised their prices recently, it seems) but if I do it once or twice a year, that's a 1 or 2 $ price for more than I could ever understand about my genes and interaactions with drugs, risk factors for various conditions, etc. (not a sales pitch) have agood one, @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member
@A MyParkinsonsTeam Member and @A MyParkinsonsTeam Member, do you have or have you had any of the other pre-motor symotms to PD? About 50% of major depressive disorder folks get PD, and folks with REM Sleep Behavior Disorder ( where you act out your dreams instead of remianing motionless) are a;sp at risk fpr PD. My PD was also diagnosed when I got off all my meds and the MDS noticed rigidity in my left aarm and leg. Probably some of my depression related meds, e.g. for restless legs syndrome. masked the rigidity.more on promodal symptoms at this free PdF download.https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC41...

Thank you. I’ve got a low wbc and low platelets. They did a hip bone marrow biopsy. And it said I didn’t have cancer thank you God. I also have petechia. My mother had thrombocytopenia and I took her to the hospital to get s shot every week in oncology. Is this hereditary? I’m going to go to the site you gave me. Thank you
