There is no age related qualifications for Social Security Disability. If you are turned down even with a doctor's letter, hire an attorney.

And here’s a strange hint I learned. If you’re able, go on a day that was rainy in the AM. Lots of people don’t want to get out and lines are much shorter. Same for tax office.

It will depend on what the doctors put in their report. Mine was approved in about 6 weeks.
