Mucuna L Dopa
A MyParkinsonsTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am interested to know if any one has tried this natural product made from an ancient bean. It is a natural Dopamine substitute. And has been used to treat parkinsons and other neurological problems for many years.

Hello yes it does come from India, and is used there and has been for many years. I am doing some reading on the internet about it. There is a lot of information. I have also spoken to a fellow Parkinson’s friend who has stopped his parkinsons medication and only taking the Mucuna L Dopa. He has still some symptoms but has chosen this road rather than the side affects of the drugs. Yes i will keep you in the loop. But encourage you to do some reading yourself, it does help keeping our minds bus and feel empowered to help ourselves. Enjoy your day, i am in New Zealand - lovely rainy morning here.

I have been taking Mucuna 500 mg a day for 3-4 months with my morning coffee. It provides me with a morning kick and seems to clear me head. I had been taking 1000 mg but cut back recently and it still helps. Online through Amazon, not including shipping, it is about $ 20.00 for 210 tablets.
