Yellowjacket, may I suggest your husband take the Sinamet to if it offers any help for his symptoms. I had stiff neck and arm pain, plus urinary incontinence, constipation and loss of smell long before my hand started shaking. None of my Drs ever mentioned PD until the shaking started. Few docs, even neurologists, understand all the ways Parkinson’s affects people. PS. Oxybutinin can help the urinary problems, but may cause dry mouth and constipation. Hope this helps. Bless you.

My neuro doc trained at a Movement disorder center and started me on Azilect initially. I did get a second opinion. Any good doctor will not hesitate to refer you for a second opinion. So sorry you were going through all of this. I know it is confusing.

You might check with Michael J Fox for a support group. All the groups I am familiar with welcome caretakers.

Parkinsons affects your entire body. Johns had constipation afib swollen legs. Bad skin cancer. Utis eye probs. Teeth are bad. I hes vulnerable to pneumonia due to swallowing issues. Always something. Along with not wanting to eat. John wont let us know whats going on either. Like why he wants to sleep wont eat. He used to tell jokes and diesnt do it now. .anyone ekse experienced this with thrur spouse.
What im sering too is there arent any oarkinsons counselors for the patient and caregivers. At least.not here. Its sad. Bless you all its a tough rosd to travel.

Its actualky both but more the oatkinsons. My husband has to use the urinsl every 30mins..hard ad he has a difficult time getting ip. He has no muscles .
