Now, two entirely new drug formulations with the potential to alleviate "off" episodes may have reached the home stretch of their long journey to market. The FDA is expected to rule on an inhaled powder formulation of levodopa (with a delivery similar to an asthma inhaler) and an under-the-tongue "Listerine strip" formulation of apomorphine in January 2019.

I read the above article about the Parkinson's Off episodes , because I did not know anything about. The Parkinson's off episodes stated this year. I hope that this new drug can help , in the pathway of PD.

I don' get much sleep, so when I divide my day into 6 doses of carb-levo & 4 doses of requip/ropinirole, I was taking them too far apart and having bad off periods. Two things that have helped me are not to take my last dose at bedtime, since the shaking stops anyway when I'm asleep. I take my doses closer together during the day instead.
And for faster absorption I chew my pills instead of swallowing them whole. This doesn't work with time release meds, but I was waiting an hour and 15 minutes for my pills to dissolve & take effect.
