I have been on Rytary since April of 2016. I had no problems transitioning from Sinemet to Rytary, although your doctor needs to understand the differences in the dosing between the two forms of Carbidopa/Levodopa. Many people end up being overdosed when they first start taking Rytary and they will need to work closely with their Neurologist to get the dosing correct. When the dosing is correct, I believe that the longer-acting drug, Rytary, provides a more stable supply of levodopa throughout the day and should reduce your on/off swings thus providing you better control throughout the day.

i take amantadine, along with others i don't ntoice any difference. it tastes wretched.

RYTARY works for me . Rytary is carba leva fast release and extended release in one capsule

I was on Amantadine for awhile but felt that it was causing anxiety.
